Huck went to go see where the king and duke hid the money. He checked the duke's room, and didn't know where to look for it. Then he heard the king and duke coming and hid. The duke went and grabbed the money from under the bed. The duke and king started talking about what they should do next. The king wanted to rob the poor orphans from everything they had. The duke said that they should leave right away and at least leave them the house. They agreed to stay a little longer and to hide the money elsewhere. Huck heard everything and waited for the right moment to take it and hide it. He waited at night to take it and when he was about to go outside to hide it, he heard someone coming. So he hid the money inside the coffin. The person who came down was Mary Jane. She wanted to see her father.
Well at least Huck is trying to do something about the money the frauds are trying to steal. I wonder how long its going to take the frauds to figure out "their" money is missing. Who knows he long the money will stay inside the coffin. That's weird to have to dig up a coffin just to get the money inside.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

After Mary Jane gave the king all the right to do whatever he wanted with the money, the doctor left angry and told them to watch their backs. Mary Jane later showed the king, the duke and Huck were they would sleep. Huck taught over what the king and duke were up to, and he felt it was bad. Huck knew that these frauds wouldn't leave until they had everyone believing everything the say, so that no one would suspect them. Huck wanted to do something, but didn't how and what to do. Later Huck and Joaner were talking and Joaner started asking Huck some question Huck didn't know what to say. He was almost to the point where he would have got caught laying.
Like I said Huck gets put into bad situations. I wonder how he's going to get himself out of this one. Also, whatever happened to Jim, hope nothing happened to him. Well Huck better get a good idea out of this mess before they get caught.

Tuesday December 2, 2009

After the king gave another one of his long speeches, the doctor showed up. The doctor's name was Abner Shckleford he saw the king and told the girl that he was a fraud. The doctor didn't believe that the king was Harvey Wilks. Mary Jane, Susan, and Joaner all tried to convince him but it didn't work. The doctor had asked the girls to trust him because he was their father's friend and their friend. Mary Jane turn her back on him and gave all the six thousand dollars to the king. She told him to do whatever he wanted.
Not to be rude but what kind of a person betrays a family friend for some guy you just met. Especially if that person claims to be someone you been looking for, but doesn't say anything until you tell them your father left your six thousand dollars. Which back then was worth a lot I may say. I guess they just trust anyone they meet. That is not always good. The doctor was right and the girls are going to regret one day.

Monday, December 7, 2009

The king had gotten Mary Jane and all the girls in the family to trust him. When they went to her house, Mary Jane went to go grab the letter her father wrote. The king read it out loud, it was his will. The letter also said that the six thousand dollars were down in the cellar. The king and duke said they would fetch it up along with Huck, he had to hold the candle. When they down the cellar they found the money and spilt it out on the floor, their eyes shinning. When they counted it, it was short four hundred and fifteen dollars. The duke came up with a plan to make some fake money an go up stairs and count the money in front of the girls. Mary Jane and Susan were shock to see so much money He counted the money and gave another speech.
How far are these frauds willing to go and how dumb are the girls to believe everything the duke and king say. Sooner or later their going to get caught. Huck is going to have to runaway again and this time it won't be his fault, but he was still a part of it. That suck to always find yourself getting in these situations.

Thursday, December 3, 2009

After having heard the man's story of his family and what had happened to his brother, the king seemed even more interested in going to Orleans. The young girl had explained to the king that her brother had escaped with more than six thousand dollars before he died and hid it somewhere around a place that she knows. I guess I know where the story is going. Some fight is about to start with the family over the money. The young girl and man better watch their back because their saying to much to strangers.

Once Huck had gotten the steamboat, they were off to see the next town. On their way their, they saw this man running all wet. The king stopped the boat and brought him on board. He told the king his story of why he was running and then he asked the king what his name was. The king said, Reverend Elexander Blodget. They were on their way to New Orleans. I like how they accept anyone into their family, no matter what their background was. Their friends and family just keeps getting bigger. I lost track of how many people Huck has made friends with since he ran away.

Tuesday December 1, 2009

The next day they landed in a different town. Jim was getting tired of being left behind and tied up. The Duke dressed Jim up in King Lear's outfit and painted him all blue. After that he wrote out a sign on a shingle so: SICK ARAB- BUT HARMLESS WHO NOT OUT OF HIS HEAD. Jim was happier to be lose and not be stuck down and tied up. I like that they are still getting along. Though they do seem to get into trouble several of times, their still together. That's one well kept family.

Monday, November 30, 2009

The second nigh of the show was packed and everyone again laughed and had a great time. The third night was different, their was new people, but this time their pockets were full. I'm guessing that they were going to throw vegetables and fruit at the King and Duke. The Duke and Huck was this coming so when the Duke stopped tending the table the door, he turned off the lights and made his escape along with Huck. The King came along a little after.
I guess both the King and the Duke have had some past experiences about how the crow gets at the third night of their show. I wonder what the crowd did when they realized that they have left. Hmmmmm.... what about the vegetables, did they throw them on each other or just kept them?

Tuesday, November 24, 2009

It was finally the night of the play for the Duke and the King. Only about twelve people had showed up and they all laughed at it and left before it was over. That had gotten the Duke mad and so he poster up a flayer said something like this; AT THE COURT HOUSE! For 3 Nights ONLY! Come see the tragedy and in Big words, LADIES AND CHILDREN NOT ADMITTED! The house was packed of men and the show was great all the man laughed and had great time.
The Duke really knows had to bring in a crowd. Man laugh at dumb things like what the Duke did. I mean thanks to the flayer he put on many man showed up to get drunk and have a great time laughing. Is that all men did back in the days?

Monday, November 23, 2009

After having the reenactment the whole crowd went down to Sherburn's house. The mob knock down his fence and wanted him hanged. Sherburn response to this was a laugh. He gave the mob a long speech of how telling them that they were cowards and they didn't fight with courage that's born in them but with courage that's borrowed from their mass. He also told them that they were to scared to hang him and he laughed. The crowd slowly started to walk away after having heard that.
If people are going to stand up and or mob for something they believe is right they might as well finish what they started. Like what we were talking about in class Put your money where your mouth is. Seriously people why start something and not finish it, why be cowards and just walk away.

Thursday, November 19, 2009

After the three shots where fired, Boggs went down and everyone rushed over to see what had happened. Huck saw everything, he tried to squeeze his way through the crowd to get a closer view. The girl went rushing in towards her father and was panicking. She tough he was dead. He wasn't yet, some people helped pick him and took him over to the closets Drug Store and put him on the counter with the bible on top of his chest. Soon after he died. Everyone wanted to know what had happened so someone reenacted the whole scene, and the people who saw the actual event agreed with the man that that was how it had happened.
When I read this I felt as if I myself was their and saw the whole scene happened right before my eyes. I pictured it, me walking around and I see these two men confronting each other and one of them having a gun pointing at the other men. Then a girl running in screaming "Boggs!" and then "BANG" "BANG" BANG." Later everyone their rushes in to see what happened. Everyone spreads rumors of what happen and then they start to form a mob to kill Colonel Sherburn. Man people must have really respected Boggs or saw him as someone important.

Nov.18,2009

Huck went wondering off to explore the town. When he was exploring he heard many people talking about this man named Boggs. Everyone seemed to have known him and by the sound of it, people were afraid.Huck heard someone calling for Boggs, he was trying to prevent Colonel Sherburn from shouting. When Boggs heard his name being called, he turned around, Colonel Sherburn took advantage of that and shoot the girls father three times, which was Boggs.
So everything seems to go fine, but then something bad always seems to happen when you thing Huck has finally started to have a happy life and family. I wonder how much of an effect this event could have on Huck's life. I also wonder why Colonel Sherburn shot Boggs, did he have something against him or did he just dislike him?

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

After having passed out the flyer's, Huck, the Duke, and the King went off to explore the town. The town was described more like an abandon place. The town looked old and dirty. Their were a lot of animals and several of drunk men fighting. I can see how this town would look like by the description from the book. I picture myself in this old town, filled with dirt and old beaten up houses, and seeing the circus. The circus might even be the only thing that's colorful their. I can picture me exploring around and walking by and seeing all of this circus stuff happening. I can see drunk men fighting and seeing them throw each other down.

Nov. 16 2009

This was from yesterday's days reading. After their long hours of practice, the Duke, the King and Huck were all ready to go to town to perform their skit. They had to leave Jim behind because of the newspaper entry. The King, Duke and Huck were in luck because the circus was in town, so that meant more of announcement for people to come watch them.
I wonder if people will really show up to watch them perform. I can imagine them acting their skits out and making the crowd laugh. I hope they make a lot of money and that they don't get involved into trouble like they always do. So far thing have been going well for all of them.

Thursday, November 12, 2009

In that town, named Pokeville, they had found a poor pirate. This pirate was seen as someone who had done a complete change, a good change. In that town was where this pirate meet the preacher who helped him turn his life around. The preacher helped the pirate by telling him that he should start all over again as a better person, the preacher open the pirates eyes to see that their is more than just a pirate life. From this he took it upon himself to try to raise money to go back to the island where the rest of the pirates are and change their lives.
Its a good feeling to have when you make or help someone change their life around, into a more better life. You know you changed for the better and or you help someone change because they needed a change in their life. And if that inspires that person to try to help others turn their life around, its great. As long as its for the best. Those people I would consider as someone that I would look up to. Because it would be like someone telling you what to do and them not having done it or do the complete opposite. No its them actually talking about their experience and how that helped them change. :)

Monday, November 9, 2009

Huck, Jim, the Duke and the King, were all finally getting along. Everyone was having a great time, then the Duke and the King started talking about the story "Romeo and Juliet." Huck was the interested in the story because he had never heard of it before. So the Duke and the King were planning to act out the balcony scene, but they needed some more props. So they went to the nearest town to buy what they needed and to get food. The weird thing was that the town was almost deserted, the only people still their were the sick people.
Things are good great for Huck and Jim again, but then something always seems to happen along the way. This part of the story is pretty weird. To walk into a town u never seen before and see that its pretty empty, except that its not, because their are still sick people. That's creepy! People just pack up and leave. That just sad. I guess that's what people did back in the days to try to avoid getting sick.

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Huck had realized that the two men were not what they said they were, not Kings nor Dukes, but liars, frauds, and low-down humbugs. Huck never said anything to anyone about what he had realized not even to Jim. Huck wanted the family to be in peace and not in quarrels. The supposedly "Kings and Dukes," would always be arguing with one another, Huck and Jim did not like that they were always fighting. Huck and Jim tried their best to ignore them. I'm glad that Huck was not fooled by the two man, but I don't get why he doesn't just leave them if those two men just keep causing problems. But yet again, Huck want to feel like he has a family and that their are no feuds, like the old family he was with. I wonder if Jim has made that same realization? Well at least theirs more people to the family, and they try to get along. That makes me wonder how big could a raft be to fit four people and their made up beds. That must be one big raft.

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

The two men that Huck and Jim had found was an old man and his friend. Supposedly the old man's line of family was related to the Duke of Bridgewater, and that the last line in the family that was a Duke, was his great-grandfather. His great-grandfather came to the U.S. and married, and soon after died. The man had told Huck and Jim that he would preferred to be called "Bridgewater," and that he would very much appreciate if Huck and Jim waited on him for dinner and died everything he would ask them. I think the old man is just drunk and lying. Hahahah! But if he's telling the truth, then that sucks to loss your families line in royalty. I wonder if this relationship with the two men would somehow change Hucks and Jims relationship. I hate that you find a best friend and then someone joins and then you and your bestfriend don't talk a lot like you used to and then your relationship slowly fades away.

Nov. 3, 2009

Reading from Tuesday. Jim and Huck talked about how much they enjoy their freedom in the river. The reading summary of that day was a basic explanation of how Huck and Jim spend their daily lives. What they do and how they know its time to sleep. They didn't mind not wearing clothes anymore. It was a happy life for them except when they saw a gang of people chasing after someone. Huck always thought it was about him and Jim. Its great that they enjoy having their freedom, but its not really what they expect when they see someone with a gun looking for someone else. Huck is always scared to see someone searching for someone else, he fears that they are looking for him or for Jim. Huck still blames himself for why Jim is considered a criminal. I understand that I wouldn't want someone being blame something I did.

Nov. 2, 2009

This was the reading for Monday. Huck and Jim were happy to be away from the swamp and the feud. The only place they knew to be home was their raft. They spent some time going down the river and doing what they would usually due. From time to time, they stop and rest, go fishing, eat and sleep. That was their rutting. Many people now of days would think that live in a raft that's always in a river is bad. Maybe runaways, or people in the most wanted list, but Huck and Jim the river is their home. No matter how hard they try to fit in the real world, it doesn't seem to work.

Thursday, October 29, 2009

After Huck had found out that Mrs. Sophia had ran away, everyone went off to search for her. The family thought that Mrs. Sophia ran off with Harney Shepherdson, he is part of the family that Buck's family is in a feud with. The family and Huck go in search of Mrs. Sophia and Harney everyone except for the women. When Huck went to go see what happened he had found Buck and his cousin, Joe being sneaky trying to find the other man. Huck had whispered to Buck to tell him he was there to help. Buck told Huck he's father and brother had died already Huck was surprised to hear that. Later they heard a noise and then a gunfire was shot. Huck saw some things he thought he would never and wishes he never saw.
Huck feels responsible for the death of those people. In a way he kind of is because he had gone to get the letter for Mrs. Sophia. That's too bad that that the family died, they were such a nice family. So many bad things seem to follow him no matter where he goes. I want to know what it is that he saw that made him have nightmares and see things he wishes he did not see. I hope Huck and Jim have a happy ending. :)

Wednesday, October 28, 2009

After Huck had given Mrs. Sophia her Testament, Jack had pulled him aside to show him a whole stack o' water moccasins. Huck had followed Jack outside, where he found Jim laying around a tree. Huck was so happy to see Jim and thought Jim would also be excited but he wasn't. Jim knew that Huck was alright and where he was staying at. Jim also knew that Huck had been looking for him. Jim told Huck how Jack had been helping him. Later, Huck had found out that Mrs. Sophia had ran away with her boyfriend.
Well, at least Huck and Jim are reunited again. :) Those two always seem to get lost and then always find each other. It was nice of Jack to bee given food to Jim and supplying him with whatever else he needed when Huck did not know where Jim was. That was one one good thing that had happened. The other thing, why do girls runaway with their boyfriends when their own family does not accept their relationship?

Monday, October 26, 2009

"George" had never hear of the word feud before, and so Buck had explained it to him. Feud meant that a man had a quarrel wit another man and kills him: then that man's family would get involved until their all dead. After that whole new lesson, Huck was tired and sleepy. Mrs. Sophia had asked him if he would go to church and get her her Testament that she had left. George had said yes, and went to go find it, but had felt suspicious of the situation. He ignored it anyways.
I did not know that feud had also meant what it had said in the book. I mean I knew it was like a fight between men, but not to the extent of killing each other. Another thing, who leaves their testament in a book in church? That's just weird! I wonder what Mrs. Sophia mus be up to?

Thursday, October 22, 2009

Buck, the son of the family that lives there and is around the same age as Huck, had gave "George" a tour of the house. Huck felt like he actually had a home of his own. Buck had been talking about what the family would do on someones birthday. Emmeline Grangerford, not even fourteen yet, knows how to write poetry, really good poetry. Huck was impressed by that fact. He liked reading the girls poetry.
Its weird to think that people can actually feel like they belong, when they don't really know those people. I can relate to that. In the begging of the year I had meet new friends and started hanging out with them, and I didn't know if they were going to accept me or not, but felt comfortable being their.

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Huck had come across a big old-fashioned double log house. In that house lived a nice family, they had invited George Jackson a.k.a Huck. When they first saw "George," the father, named Saul, had asked him if he had seen the shepsherdsons around. "George" had said that was the first time he has ever heard of that name. Huck though that family was a nice family and that it was really nice of them to let him stay there for as long as he wanted. Huck, I mean George had lied to the family telling them he had nowhere else to go.
That must be a really nice family, to just let a stranger in their house and let them live there for as long as they want. Its a nice thing that Huck has met some new people, but he should really stop lying to people who are willing to help him. But other then that I glad he has found a new friend. I wonder what could had happen to Jim?

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Huck and Jim were looking for a town named Cairo. On their way to the next town, they saw some steam boats heading their way. Huck and Jim have had have some boats come closer to them, but never actually touch their raft. This time it was differently the steamboat was heading their way pretty fast. The boat had hit them, and Huck and Jim had jumped off on differently side. Huck could find Jim.
The just plain mean how some people would trick Huck and Jim by pretending to be so close their raft and about to hit them, but actually having time to move. This last boat that actually hit their raft was just plain rude! People enjoy making other people suffer in order to laugh.

Monday, October 19, 2009

Huck and Jim spend sometime talking about how Jim life is going to be like when he officially becomes a free man. Jim starts talking to Huck about how thanks to him, he is a free man. Huck felt for this because he knows its his fault why Jim ran away and how the police are looking for him. Huck didn't mean to put Jim at blame for his "death." Huck wanted to tell Jim he was sorry, but Jim was thanking Huck for being his one and only friend, and knowing he could trust Huck to be there to help him. After that Jim talked about the things he would do when officially became a free man.
I think that sweet of Jim to tell Huck how much their friendship means to him. You know that your friendship is strong when you can really trust that person to be their for you when your down or when you need someone to talk to. Friends are there to back you up and stand up for you. That's how strong Huck and Jim's friendship is.

Sunday, October 18, 2009

This was Friday's reading. The whole thing about Huck not remembering about what had happened during the night was a trick to Jim. Jim had gotten mad of how Huck made him fee; he felt ashamed. Jim was all worried, worried enough that he did not care about what could had happen to himself. After Huck had seen Jim's reaction to the trick, Huck had felt terrible so he apologizes to Jim.

Thursday, October 15, 2009

Huck had gotten scared because of the fog and the noise. After he had found a place to rest and passed out. Then he wakes up and doesn't remember where he is. He sees the river and something floating in the middle and starts to paddle towards it. He finally finds Jim, he is sleeping. Huck wakes Jim up and Jim starts to panic, he though Huck was dead. Jim explained to Huck what had happened during the night; the fog and them getting lost. Huck couldn't remember any of it and though Jim was drunk.
Maybe its a good thing that Huck can't seem to remember what had happen during the night. I would be scared about me being alone in dark, not only in the river but fog coming towards you and something from behind. I would probably would want to forget about that. Jim in the other hand, I feel sorry for because he had thought that Huck was dead and he was all worried, and again he thinks Huck's ghost is haunting him. Well at least they found each. :)

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

Jim and Huck were arguing about how a Frenchman should talk. Three days later came a fog that had scared and had gotten Huck sick. He was lost in the fog, not knowing were he was heading. Huck kept hearing a noise coming from behind and he started to panic. If I were to be in his situation, I to would be panicking. I can picture it now; Me sitting in the boat all of sudden I see this big fog coming my way and then I see nothing. I'm not sure which way I'm heading and then I start hearing a noise following from behind. Yeah, I would be panicking. SCARY!

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

Jim and Huck had manged to escape out of the boat. They were going to get Bill and Jake in as much trouble as Jim Turner. Huck started thinking about how he is going to become a murder in the future. Huck had sent the boat all the way to Walter Scott. Huckleberry went to go find the watchmen of the other boat he had found. Huck told the watchmen he's pap and mam were in a lot of trouble.
Huck has got to be lucky, for not getting caught. Jim I could understand more, he is afraid to get caught and to be killed in the process. So many things happen to this kid. It hard to tell sometimes, weather the events that happen to him are good or bad.

Saturday, October 3, 2009

Huck and Jim found a boat. In the boat there was three men, one was tied up, one was holding a gun, and the other was talking about killing the men tied up. Jim Turner, Bill, and Jake Packard were their names. Huckleberry heard Bill and Jake wanting to kill Jim. Huck wanted the bad guys to get caught doing their plan.
Me being in that situation, I would probably be freaking out. I would be panicking, and would be afraid of getting caught. I would be like Jim telling Huck to leave.

Thursday, September 24, 2009

Huck had told the women his real name was George Peters. The women had made fun of Huckleberry telling him that he better remember his name was George instead of George Elexander. The woman's name was Judith Loftus. After that Judith started asking him questions, which he had passed. "George" told Judith he had to leave to go find his uncle. Huck went to go find Jim, so that they can escape.
I though that today's reading was funny. Judith was picking on "George," making sure he remembers his story he had told her. She was making fun of him about how "George" had told her he was girl, and how she was making all these flaws. He was acting like a boy instead of a girl. :)

Wednesday, September 23, 2009

A brief summary of what I have been reading the past three days. Huck and Jim go out to explore the Island and they find this abandon house. Jim goes inside to see why its abandon and when he goes inside he sees a dead man, probably two or three days dead. Huck and Jim wonder why someone would kill the men, but other than that they get as much supplies as they possible can from the house. A couple days pass and Huck wants to play a joke on Jim, so he puts a dead snake inside his pillow covers. By the end of the day Huck had forgot all about the snake and when Jim had pulled his covers, there were two snakes. The mate came to follow her other dead mate, and so the live snake bit Jim. Jim was sick for about four days. After Jim was all better he and Huck went fishing and caught a big fish, that probably would cost a lot in town. That got them thinking about what was going on in town. So Jim told Huck to disguise himself as a girl so that no one would know who he really was. Huck dressed himself as girl and went into town and found a women that he has never seen, she was new in town. He told the women his name was Sarah Mary Williams. The women did not fall for it. She wanted to know who he really was.
Clearly Huck could not convince the women that he was a girl. For some reason I can't picture Huck dressing up as girl. That would be so funny if someone that actually knew him would see him dresses in a dress. Someone like Tom would be so funny. This just keeps getting better and better. Wow! That was long!

Thursday, September 17, 2009

Huckleberry and Jim were talking about how everyone in town found out about Huck's death. His dad went to town and told everyone he had found the cabin looked like they been robbed and that he was dead. Jim told Huck how they have been searching for him. Jim later talked about signs of bad luck and Huck think that Jim knows everything except on thing on good luck.
It a funny experience when you are little and you think that your friend is really smart and a know it all just because they seem to know a little bit more than you. Though sometimes the information might be wrong.

Wednesday, September 16, 2009

After everyone had tried to search for Huckleberry, and soon after gave up. Huckleberry was all alone for about four days. On the forth lonesome day Huckleberry had heard a horse and a men, and he was scared that he might get caught. Huck wanted to see who that person was, so went and got a closer look. It was Miss Watson's Jim. When Jim saw Huck he taught it was Huck's ghost trying to hurt him. Jim had a hard time believing that Huckleberry was still alive, Huck explained everything to Jim. Then they both went to go find something to eat.
I'm really glad that Huck finally found someone to talk to and tell him the truth. Huckleberry won't be alone anymore. Though he should really go back and tell everyone that he is still alive, instead of pretending to be dead and fearing that someday he will be discovered by someone else.

Monday, September 14, 2009

Huckleberry had woken up and had heard a "boom" sound. He noticed that the "boom" was coming from the ferryboat firing cannon over the water, trying to make his caress come to the top. Everyone that Huckleberry knows was in the boat. They were all looking for him. Huckleberry figured that they would give up on searching for him and that way he would be able to move on and do whatever he wanted.
Huckleberry can't seem to understand that their are people that do care about him. He had a chance to go back to the widow and have a better life then what he had with his father or what he is trying to have by himself. Its not right when kids runaway from their homes to try to avoid problems.

Thursday, September 10, 2009

Huckleberry had go in the canoe and is heading to Jackson Island. I don't get why Huckleberry doesn't just go back with the widow. He had a good life with her and was learning how to read and write. Huckleberry had a family and friends when he lived with the widow.

Wednesday, September 9, 2009

Huckleberry came up with a plan to escape. He had come upon a pig and had his idea. He killed the pig and dragged it around the back of the cabin. That their was blood all around. Put the pig in a bag and dropped it in the river. Huckleberry also took all the food, ammunition and gun with him . He made it seem as if their were a bulgier and a murderer.
Huckleberry must be one smart kid to of have come up with such as plan. To fake your own death is pretty extreme.

Thursday, September 3, 2009

In today's reading, Huckleberry's dad was all drunk. Earlier he had been rambling about the government being bad. Later he drank more and slowly he started to fall asleep. Huckleberry was planning on escaping as soon as his father fell asleep, but Huckleberry had fallen asleep also. Huckleberry's dad started screaming about snakes biting him and that the devil was after him. He called Huck the the Angel of Death, and started to chase him around with a knife.
I think that the dad should go to rehab and this time actually stop drinking and change his life around.

Agust 31

I thought I had published this blog. So in yesterday's reading. The new judge would not give the widow full custody of Huckleberry. The new judge tried to make a new man out of Huckleberry's dad. The dad had faked that he had become a new man. He would go around and harass Huckleberry to give him money so that he could go and get drunk. One day in spring, Huckleberry's dad kidnapped him They lived in a cabin for more than two months. Slowly Huckleberry started to dislike his new life of being a gentleman.
I don't understand why the new judge did not give the widow or Judge Thatcher custody of Huckleberry. They are both better guardians for Huckleberry.
Huckleberry was trying to find a way out of the cabin. He found a saw and started to saw his way out. Later, his dad came and started to talk about how they live in a bad government. Just because he saw an African with fancy clothes and with money. The dad was very mad that the African had a better life than he did.
People back then were so racist about Africans. That was wrong people should be treated equal no matter what race, color, or gender they are.

The Adventures of Huckelberry Finn

Today's reading, Huckelberry talks to Judge Thatcher about his money. Huckelberry wants to give the Judge his six thousand dollars, he doesn't say why. But he does not want the money, so asked Judge Thatcher to take it. The Judge writes a contract or an agreement between the two of them stating that Huckelberry has given up his six thousand to the Judge. Huckelberry signs the paper and then leaves.
I don't understand why Huckelberry just gave away his money like that. He could have saved it up for future needs. Used it in case he ever wanted to go to college or invest in something but no he decided to give it away.
